I'm so pleased to be doing business with the wonderful shop Article& located in Brooklyn, NY. On Saturday I dropped off mugs and bud vases custom made for this trendy and fashionable shop. I highly recommend checking them out!
2015 is off to a creative start! I've been posting some works in progress on Instagram but here are a few more shots pre-fire of up and coming pieces. Keep an eye out for two sets of beer tasting cups, set of four Milk & Honey" swirl bowls, a wine chiller, and more!
A big thank you to everyone who helped Rockwater Pottery get started this past year. I couldn't have done it without your continued support and motivation. Here's looking to an exciting new year!
I had the pleasure of meeting Johnny A. Williams of JAW Woodshop based out of Newtown CT yesterday. His high quality hand crafted wood furniture eared him a place in the American Craft Council Show and as a finalist in Martha Stewarts' American Made competition. We're talking about possible ideas for a future JAW/Rockwater collaboration!

WERK it! Exciting photo shoot today with some new Rockwell Series pieces just in time for the holidays. I usually make the signature "Milk & Honey" swirl mugs with a toast stoneware and porcelain clay but for these three newbies, I tried a white stoneware instead. The final outcome? Beautiful composition but they shrunk in the glaze firing. They are roughly .5" shorter than the original and hold about 10 oz...and 100% gorgeous!
Hello friends and lovers! I'm excited to present some of my first pieces of the Rockwell series. These pieces will accent the lovely warmth of an array of stoneware clays but only with white glaze. I've been playing with differnt textures and profiles but most exciting is marbelizing the clays together. More to come!
